ඉතාලියේ සැලර්ටෝනි මහනගර සභා ඡන්දය සඳහා ශ්රී ලංකාව වෙනුවෙන් ඩිල්කි ප්රනාන්දු මහත්මිය ඉදිරිපත් වී ඇත.මෙම මැතිවරණය ලබන 21දා පැවැත්වේ. ඉතාලියේ සැලර්ටෝනිහි සංක්රමණිකයේ 20000 ක් පමණ වාසය කරති. ඩිල්කි ප්රනාන්දු මහත්මිය සමඟ ද්රවිඩ ජාතිකයෝ සිව් දෙනෙක්ද තරග වදිති.
Ms. Dilki Fernando from Sri Lanka, has handed over nominations for the election of Palermo municipal council in Italy which is on the 22nd October. Being a resident in Italy for over 20 years, Ms. Fernando is well known as a social services activist in her area.
Majority of Palermo is consisted of Tamils, the voting base being 4000 Tamils and about 500 Sinhalese.
Ms. Dilki Fernando says that it is her intention to sweep the city of the stench of Tigers, which is a known safe haven of the LTTE.
Expressing her views to Lankadeepa website, Ms. Fernando had said that although she does not have much power, if sh becomes a member of the council, she is not going to allow the Tigers to continue their activities freely in Palermo. But she said that she is going to give her utmost to help the Sinhala, Tamil and also other ethnic groups in the area without any discrimination.
